Background

Brian Dyas started the AFF School Ltd “Go Jump” around 6 years ago and when Ian Rossenvinge (who owns the airfield and parachute club) wanted a professional AFF school setting up.

Brian is an ex national champion and a BPA instructor examiner in all disciplines a commercial/jump pilot and a USPA examiner. Brian is also accredited with the introduction of AFF into the UK from the USA in the late 1980’s.

Ian and Brian go back a long way having jumped together on various teams since the early 1980’s and it was an absolute pleasure for Brian to get involved with Ian again at Peterlee.

The school is autonomous but we operate as part of the Peterlee Parachute club.  We operate in the UK March to November and in the winter we run trips to Spain.

The school’s manager and on site instructor is “Shell Meakins herself a very experienced instructor and ex national champion. We also use hand picked instructors from the North of England and Scotland.

Philosophy

Lots of drop zones run an AFF program but in Brian’s view most deliver the bare minimum needed to complete the basic AFF course.  At “Go Jump” we pride ourselves on going one step further and teaching you the all the additional skills and providing all the paperwork, briefs, tests, and packing lessons that are needed to get you your’ “A” license and set you up fully as a capable skydiver. We also give “free of charge” further training towards the “B” license.

We aim to do this in a safe and fun way and hope that this will give you all the skills needed for a safe integration into the BPA system. A lot of our students tell us that the AFF course they made with ‘Go-Jump” was the best thing they ever did and the make friends for life here at “Go-Jump”.

Mission Statement

To provide fun quality training for our AFF students throughout the course and then onwards to the “A” and “B” license, thereby facilitating full and proper interrogation into the club and BPA licensing system.
